Terms of Service

1. Nature of the service

Orenay includes:
• Desk — business letters in 42 languages, with optional AI review (精修) after you confirm.
• Learn — short language practice, plus astronomy tools such as the Orrery and the Orbital Lab.
• Play — safe culture games for parents and children, with no rankings.
• CultIQ — local customs and etiquette by situation and market.
• Steward — an assistant that answers your questions and takes you to the right tool.
• Hear — audio narration where available; otherwise your device can read the text aloud.
• Orenay widgets that partner websites may embed, marked “By Orenay”.
• Supplier Bridge — verified factory and supplier listings. We show only real, published listings.
• Paid plans, packs and Premium.

2. No legal, tax or customs advice

Nothing on Orenay — including Desk drafts, AI-reviewed text, Steward answers, customs notes, compliance wording, profession tracks or audio — is legal, tax, customs, immigration or certification advice.

You remain responsible for confirming current standards, HS codes, marks, visas and permits with your importer, broker, lawyer or the competent authority.

3. Free plan

Desk is free to use on your device, without an account.

The daily AI improvements included in the free plan are offered as a courtesy. Orenay may reduce, limit or withdraw them at any time, without notice, to protect the quality and continuity of the service.

On orenay.cn, paid plans are paid with Alipay. Each plan is a single payment and does not renew automatically. Current prices are shown on the Pricing page.

4. AI review

When you choose AI review (精修), the text of that draft is sent to our AI provider, DeepSeek, to improve it — only after you confirm. The free Desk on your device does not require it.

AI-reviewed text is a writing aid. It is not certification, not legal advice and not a guarantee of customs clearance.

5. Anonymous usage statistics

To improve Orenay, we may process anonymous, aggregated usage statistics, such as market, feature used and whether a letter was copied. They never include the content of your letters or drafts. We do not sell personal data or drafts. Contact: hello@orenay.cn.

6. Suixi (随喜)

随喜 (Suixi) is an optional gift of thanks that supports Orenay. It is not fundraising, not a charitable donation and not tax-deductible. It is available only where a payment option is shown.

7. Your content and ours

You keep the rights to the business content you write or paste. Orenay’s interface, content, customs notes, audio, widgets and brand belong to Orenay or its licensors.

Do not copy or republish Orenay content in bulk as a competing product. Personal and commercial use of your own letters is fine. Embedded widgets must keep the “By Orenay” credit.

8. Limitation of liability

Orenay is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost deals, customs delays, rejected marks, visa outcomes or third-party decisions based on letters or guidance you use.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Orenay grows. Material changes will be shown on this page with their effective date. Continuing to use Orenay after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

Annex A — Verification

This Annex is part of these Terms. It explains how verification works on Supplier Bridge for Chinese suppliers, sourcing agents and foreign buyers.

A.1 Chinese suppliers — business licence

A Chinese business licence (营业执照) is a public company record, so uploading one does not by itself prove that you represent the company.

A supplier is Verified when (1) its business licence is on file and (2) control of the company’s official registered phone number has been confirmed. That number comes from the licence or the public business registry, not from a number the supplier types in.

If no registered number is available, the supplier can contact our support team in the app with the company name, Unified Social Credit Code and official phone number for a manual check. We never sell licence files or contact details. Sample listings cannot become Verified.

A.2 Sourcing agents

A sourcing agent is a person or company in China who helps buyers who cannot be there in person. An agent may act for a buyer only with that buyer’s explicit permission, which the buyer can withdraw at any time.

In each conversation, a participant acts in one role only. If the same company appears as both supplier and agent on the same request, Orenay shows a clear conflict notice.

Hidden commissions are prohibited. Quotes belong to the buyer’s conversation. Only verified foreign buyers can rate agents.

A.3 Foreign buyers — verification

Verification for foreign buyers uses a liveness check and a match between your face and your passport. We will announce it when it opens.

Passport images and biometric data are used only to complete verification and are then deleted. We keep only the result: verified status, nationality or region, the date and the provider’s confirmation.
